To ensure that our remanufactured diesel injectors perform flawlessly, we first make sure that they remain contamination-free during the rebuild process. We replace every necessary component with new and administer a precise, repeatable process that is followed every time.

Hydraulic Electronic Unit Injector (HEUI)

The Hydraulic Electronic Unit Injector (HEUI) system uses high-pressure engine oil instead of a camshaft to control the injection of fuel. Unlike a conventional fuel system, where fuel injection pressures increase proportionally with engine speed, the HEUI system works with the ECM to electronically control injection independent of engine speed.

To ensure continued performance and reliability, all of our Diesel Fuel Injectors are the product of an exhaustive remanufacturing process at a TS16949, ISO9001, and ISO14001-certified facility. For an example of what goes into our remanufactured injectors, take a look at our 800-1964N above. 

Common Rail Injection (CRI)

Common Rail Injection (CRI)

Named after the shared high-pressure rail that supplies cylinders with fuel, the Common Rail Injection (CRI) system is an advanced technology for diesel engines. For conventional diesel injection systems, fuel pressure needs to be generated for each individual injector. For Common Rail systems, pressure generation and injection are separate, meaning the fuel is constantly available at the required pressure for injection.

To ensure superior performance and reliability, all GP Sorensen® Diesel Fuel Injectors, including Common Rail Injectors (CRI), undergo an exhaustive remanufacturing process at a TS16949, ISO9001, and ISO14001-certified facility. Quality Checklist

To ensure that our remanufactured diesel injectors perform flawlessly, we first make sure that they remain contamination-free during the rebuild process. We replace every necessary component with new and administer a precise, repeatable process that is followed every time. Here’s a checklist we adhere to every time we remanufacture a GP Sorensen® diesel injector:

  • Assemble in a temperature-controlled clean room (Class-100,000)
  • Store all components overnight in stainless steel bins before assembly
  • Use clean-room-certified towels, smocks, gloves, and sticky mats
  • Replace all tested nozzles on CRI and HEUI injectors, as needed
  • Replace all shims, intensifier springs, and external O-rings
  • Test all solenoids and apply upgrades, wherever necessary
  • Run OE Master injectors and plot/review the data points for comparison
  • Scheduled maintenance of test stand, including fluid replacement, to reduce contamination
  • Never test contaminated warranty injectors on production benches
  • Perform weekly back leak/metering audits on the production benches
  • Track injectors using product identification ticket
  • Laser-etch with Julian date codes for accurate traceability
